I wish to thank the I.E.C. for the consideration given to the elderly at the voting stations today. Especially at Belvedere School, Benoni, where there was a long queue and our parents of 91 and 86 were taken in immediately to vote. They had anticipated a lengthy tiring wait. We had borrowed a wheelchair but could not use it as no provision was made for the handicapped or infirm to get up steps and down a grassy embankment as access. Luckily they managed these with help.
